Hummingbirds Still Here

Shouldn't the hummingbirds be gone by now? I still have them at my feeder here in Marlboro.

---Marj Wright, Marlboro, VT

________

*There seem to be some stragglers hanging around. We still have one coming to our feeder in W. Brattleboro. It is a youngster that we worry about.

Bats Anyone?

In response to the question about bats (by Susan James) - this little guy hangs out regularly in the evening in our front porch in Brookline.

West Guilford Bat

Re: Susan James query about bats. We have seen two bats recently in West Guilford.

---Karen Murphy, West Guilford

Connecticut Warbler (9/22)
Wow! Don't know what happened to my attempt to last post this from my iPhone, but for those Windham city birders who do not fear crossing the river there is a beautiful female Connecticut Warbler at the Hinsdale boat launch.

A second Connecticut Warbler at the Hinsdale boat launch this morning (9/26) - a male this time
